The Fruit Mile Run, which has been held on the last Saturday in October since 1995, has now secured a regular spot in the calendars of many recreational runners. On October 28, 2023, over 500 participants are expected to run through the orchards of Altendorf-Ersdorf. Particularly popular among the participants are the apples at the finish line and the generously filled fruit baskets for the winners. The Little Fruit Mile (3.3 miles = 5.3 km) is open to everyone, while the Big Fruit Mile (6 miles = 9.6 km) and the Mega Mile (10 miles = 16 km) are held as a fun run with age group classifications.

Highlights

  • The routes of the Altendorf-Ersdorf Fruit Mile Run lead through the orchards near Meckenheim.
  • Participants can look forward to fresh apples at the finish line and generously filled fruit baskets for the winners.
  • Our youngest participants race over the Bambini Mile (400m), while the slightly older ones showcase their skills on the Children's Mile (1000m).
